🖊️ Department of Urdu
The Department of Urdu celebrates Pakistan's national language and its rich literary heritage. The BS Urdu program covers classical and modern Urdu poetry, prose, drama, fiction, literary criticism, and linguistics. Students develop an appreciation for the cultural and historical dimensions of Urdu literature while building strong communication skills in the national language.
Eligibility Criteria
FA, FSc, or equivalent with Urdu as a subject. Minimum 45% marks.
Career Prospects
Urdu graduates work as Urdu teachers, journalists, content writers, broadcasters, translators, editors, government officials, and civil servants.
