The Department of Statistics trains students in the collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data. The BS Statistics program covers probability theory, statistical inference, regression analysis, experimental design, time series, and statistical computing using SPSS, R, and Python.
Eligibility Criteria
FSc (Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, or ICS) or FA with Mathematics, with minimum 45% marks.
Career Prospects
Statistics graduates work as statisticians, data analysts, biostatisticians, quality control professionals, market researchers, actuaries, and government survey officers.
