Department of Botany
The Department of Botany explores plant life in its fullest dimension — from cell biology to ecology. The BS Botany program covers plant morphology, anatomy, physiology, genetics, taxonomy, ecology, and economic botany. The Hazara region's rich biodiversity provides an exceptional natural laboratory for field studies. Students develop skills applicable in agriculture, forestry, environmental conservation, pharmaceutical research, and education.
Eligibility Criteria
FSc (Pre-Medical) with minimum 45% marks. Biology must have been studied at intermediate level.
Career Prospects
Botany graduates can work as botanists, agricultural officers, forest officers, environmental consultants, horticulturists, plant biotechnologists, and lecturers.
