Today, we honor the remarkable career of Professor Abdul Majid, a distinguished academic and scholar, as he retires after 34 years of dedicated service to higher education.
Professor Majid’s illustrious career spanned various roles, including Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor of Zoology. His outstanding contributions to education and interdisciplinary research have left a lasting impact.
As Principal of Government Degree College, Balakot (2016-2020) and Head of the Zoology Department at Government Postgraduate College, Mansehra (2013-2017, 2023-2025), Professor Majid played a pivotal role in advancing academic programs, notably founding the BS Zoology program.
His scholarly work seamlessly integrates science and religion, earning him numerous prestigious awards, including 12 Presidential National Seerat Awards and three international honors. His extensive publications, translations, and leadership in science-religion dialogue have made an indelible mark on academia.
